Recipes for making natural homemade cleansers and soaps

More and more it is considered that the more natural a beauty product, the better. So much so that many consumers start to make their own beauty products, in order to save money in addition to resorting to the natural.

Homemade face cleanser

  • Put 2 large tablespoons of kaolin
  • 1 tablespoon of ground rice (wonderful scrub)
  • 1 tablespoon of ground almonds
  • half a tablespoon of wheat flour
  • half almond oil
  • 5 evening primrose oil capsules
  • and finally, a little dried coconut.

Extend it until it is about 2.5cm thick and roll it up; The idea is that we can cut slices when we need to exfoliate the skin (no more than once every two days). It will be kept in the fridge as long as we want.

We can make variations using an antiseptic herb such as thyme in case of having a skin with pimples, or fresh chopped fennel, which is very stimulating.

To make a good body scrub we can combine kaolin, glycerin, fresh pineapple (it contains the enzyme bromelain that helps to eliminate dead skin cells), ground rice and a little sweet almond oil.

Homemade face masks

Make an infusion of honeysuckle petals and lilies by pouring boiling water over them and let the mixture sit for half an hour.

Then add:

  • 4 tablespoons of infusion with 1 of oats
  • 1 of kaolin and another of glycerin.

Apply to the face immediately and leave as long as you want. By increasing the amount of clay (kaolin) added, we will increase the stretching effect ; On the other hand, if what we are looking for is hydration and softness , we will have to use almond and oat oil .

Homemade moisturizer

oats

Homemade moisturizers are not like those scented creams we buy in stores.

The versions that we can do at home are a little more basic and range from crushing an avocado and putting it directly on the face, to leaving algae such as the sea oak (Fucus Vesiculosos) or the kelp to simmer for 10 minutes and then remove them and use the resulting botanical gel.

Another fantastic moisturizer can be made by simply putting a handful of oatmeal in cold water and letting it sit for half an hour. Strain the oats squeezing well while we do it, and we will have colloidal milk that we can apply directly with a cotton ball. Oatmeal has all sorts of amazing properties, among which is the talent of calming foot irritations .

Homemade hair products

olive oil for hair

We can use mayonnaise or olive oil as a conditioner for dry hair. Apply and wait approximately 10 minutes before washing with a normal shampoo.

We can also use eggs : spread two beaten eggs through the hair and then rinse with warm water.

We can also give hair a special shine by rinsing it with beer, lemon juice or an infusion of nettles.

For a special bath, use a piece of muslin (or any other similar material) and put a couple of tablespoons of oatmeal inside, tie it and put it in the bathtub while the water runs.

We can also add a tablespoon of baking soda before to soften the water and deodorize the skin.

In the muslin we can also add fresh herbs such as rosemary, sage, bay leaf or thyme, or we could take a winter bath with many spices , adding a cinnamon stick, some cloves and a whole nutmeg.
